It’s been said that “practice makes perfect.” However, we should rephrase the saying to “perfect practice makes perfect.” When taking violin lessons for beginners, here are some tips to make excellent practice sessions even better:

1. Put quality before quantity. Yes, playing one minute a day won’t improve your skills very quickly. However, it’s more important to achieve certain objectives during sessions, instead of merely spending a huge amount of time. Make sure that your objectives for each practice involve improving a particular skill or mastering part of a piece for violins.
